Kraken Setup

Creating API Keys

1. Log in to pro.kraken.com and go to Settings → Connections & API.
2. Click Create API Key.
3. Give the key a descriptive name (e.g. CrowdTime Bot).
4. Enable the following permissions:
   • Query — to check balances
   • Query open orders & trades - to check orders
   • Query closed orders & trades - to check materialised trades
   • Create & Modify Orders — to place trades
   • Cancel/Close Orders — to cancel trades if needed
5. Do not enable Deposit or Withdraw permissions.
6. Click Generate Key.
7. Copy both the API Key and Private Key — you will not be able to see the private key again.

DANGER

Never enable withdraw funds on keys stored in any third-party service, including ours. This would allow the key holder to transfer funds out of your account.

Adding Keys to CrowdTime

1. Open the CrowdTime, connect your wallet, navigate to the Dashboard page and click on the API icon.
2. Select Kraken as the exchange.
3. Paste your API Key and Private Key.
4. Click Save API Keys. CrowdTime validates the keys immediately.
